Thanks to funding received from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, Kay Douglas and The Centres for Seniors Windsor entered a partnership to launch Art Centre On The Go programs at the Centres. A showcase of the works created there, and at the Heron Terrace Seniors Home are being featured in an Art Show located at the Windsor Public Library.

Southwood Public School pilots a program to spark kids’ creativity, developed by Kay Douglas author/illustrator of a children’s book, Yours for the Dreaming. The program is being spread in partnership with the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor Public Library, as well as Cedar Crest Academy in Michigan, and an elementary school in Kenya through the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918).
The OAC Arts in Education grant allows Kay Douglas to develop a classroom education kit and partner with the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor Public Library to pilot creativity workshops. The Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program will fund the development of a life enrichment program, in partnership with The Centres for Seniors Windsor.
